Responsibilities

  • Process and manage vendor invoices and payment transactions accurately and promptly;
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies;
  • Maintain supplier records and documentation;
  • Track and manage the acquisition and disposal of fixed assets;
  • Ensure proper depreciation calculations and asset valuations;
  • Prepare fixed asset reports and analyses as required;
  • Calculate and process employee wages, bonuses, and deductions;
  • Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations, including payroll taxes;
  • Prepare payroll tax returns and ensure timely remittance to tax authorities;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of VAT regulations and ensure compliance in invoicing and reporting;
  • Prepare payroll tax reports accurately and on time;
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal policies;
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for management;
  • Provide detailed analyses of accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll expenses;
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation;
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes;
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities related to accounts payable and payroll;
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field;
  • Proven experience as an Accountant specializing in accounts payable, fixed assets, and payroll;
  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and payroll tax requirements;
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong knowledge of Greek language (B2 or above);
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
